How Could Me You

In terms of production from initial idea to final recording, this was definitely the fastest song to make. The chorus was written after waking up from a dream: was sort of a horror dramatization of watching a person who had done me wrong be berated and humiliated by their family because they found out what had happened; resulting in a feeling of guilt that made me regret speaking up about what happened. This was pieced together in our first practice session with our guitarist Jamie with the aims of making something short and disjointed to aid the basement torture vibe I wanted for much of The Happy Man. One of my personal highlights on the record.
